hmmm. i'm an auntie already. today i attended my neice's full month party. she's adorable, with the long legs of a potential model and the lovely, rosy face. the best part was that i thought the party would be like an early chinese new year (but it was hari raya! ^-^), where it would signify a mark of change that has taken place and that would come. to my surprise and pleasure, everything was the same. nothing really changed, and instead, the whole gathering was what it really should mean: we are a family. it has been such a long time i experinced a true, warm reuniuon. somehow, i felt a atep closer to understanding my cousin better. yeah, its singular. buut hey, it takes time, and it was a pretty big step on its own already.
