tution nostalgia
EVERYONE has been bugging me to update more oftern. but this is very often already! oh well, never mind. today i went online to talk to marissa (from PL primary-i know all the PL girls in cedar i know her...theodora should see this!) and got a sudden stab of nostalgia. she and elias (formerly from tao nan, that samrt-people school) were my tution mates. WERE WE A COMBINATION MAN. you can say that the result is of that of putting a very funny girl, a super animated (so quoted by aunty selina, our teacher -because i make funny noises all the time) and a cheeky guy together(fine, unique). every lesson was hilarious. i still remember when we finished, aunty selina let in the dog Fudge. apparently fudge is ALWAYS in a crazy mood after being locked out for so long(so as not to disturb us) so he went hyper, clawing at marissa and me non -stop. we shrieked, kneeled on the chairs as he charged forward barking. elias tried to help by saying "Come here fudge!" and ran outside. naturally, fudge followed, dashing after him. just when the two damsels in distress (did i use it correctly?) thought it was over, elias sped back into the house screaming for all he was worth, in a very hana kimi/manga style, for now fudge was after HIM. the dog bit his pants, refusing to let go while elias tried to wriggle away. i also recall that smart marissa get all the spelling correct while i continued to fail, and elias stilll spelled toilet as toliet. while she received all the glory and praise with much satisfication, both of us just watched in jealousy. she gave a loud protest 'HEY' when she caught the whisper of 'teacher's pet' elias disclosed to me. oh the memories! if i drew it out in comic style will it be really accurate- the whole process was like a comedy. still remember when i was the first to leave the tution, they had this goldfish-eye look when aunty selina announced it. they even shook my hand firmly with a very formal 'goodbye' in such a manner that it seemed it was my funeral instead.now we are in all (surprisingly) uni-sex schools. sigh. this year i have been recalling all the past for some reason. actually, i still remember my first experince when i sat on the toilet bowl. i'm serious! ^-^
