2007 is here
ha! here i am again..eheh. i just have to blog about my life this time . the fcbc countdown 2007 ROCKED. FCBC I LOVE YOU. i dressed retro like the theme, with my mother's shirt and long long skirt with pink-polkadotted bandanna. WOOT. first we had youth service where pastor khong compassiontely prayed for EVERYONE. im not kidding. really everyone. at first i felt really nervous waiting there, but when another lady touched me, it was just so peaceful as i just fell back. after that wonderful encounter, we went for the cluster event-the ethnos emmanuel event. there i met people who told me they were tweleve when they were twenty over.it was rather fun too, and all of us took a photo together. no prizes for spotting where i am in the photo! after dinnner we went for the countdown. we had great worship where i just lost myself in dancing and singing. mr gingerbread man made an appearence too, to give out prizes. I LOVE MR GINGERBREAD MAN. HE IS JUST SO ADORABLE. they also had a special worship session with all the old songs i grew up with, and i was dancing those children moves i had been taught with those songs. there was also one part of the countdown where people wrote their life difficulties, before flipping it around to say how god helped them. i remember one of the ones i cheered extra loudly for was this young man who wrote ' colour blind in orange and red ' and on the other side it was written ' but i wrote these myself !' in a orange-coloured marker. there was a couple who held this adorable girl in their hands and thei sign saying 'doctor says baby 90% with down-syndrome ' but on the other side was written ' but GOD says megan is 100% healthy!". and baby megan waved to the audience! one of the most touching ones was a young man who wrote ' a drug addict ' and flipped it over to say ' but now i'm HIGH on JESUS! ' there was also a session when we shared with our parteners on what we could thank god for in 2006. boy, i had a lot to talk about! there was a slideshow of 2006 and everyone cheered at EVERY picture of pastor khong and our youth pastors. they are the best! i need to go pack my bag now, so i really need to stop now. but i would fill in more details if i have the time!
